Mustang Pilgrimage

Background: 41 Service Battalion has a number of perpetuated units that served during the First and Second World Wars.  With the centenary of a number of First World War battles taking place over the upcoming period, 41 Service Battalion will commemorate those who have served before us with a Battlefield Pilgrimage in the Fall of 2018.  The Pilgrimage will have a focus on Combat Service Support during the First and Second World Wars.

Where: A detailed itinerary will follow, however sites will include: England (London and Bisley), France (FWW: Vimy, Arras and Somme.  SWW: Dieppe and Normandy) and Belgium (Ypres, Passchendaele and Mons).

Who: Serving and retired members of 41 Service Battalion (and perpetuated Battalions).

When: Proposed dates are 3 to 18 November 2018.

*We will be in Mons, Belgium for the centenary of the end of the First World War*

Cost: It is estimated that the trip cost approximately $4000 (Airfare, hotel and coaches included).  We will be getting quotes from a number of travel agencies to get the best price possible (While still having a reasonable standard of accommodations etc.).

*Serving Soldiers can apply for subsidization of these costs*

Deposits: We will require initial deposits in the Spring of 2017.  These will be refundable until the final price is set (This will be set in the Fall of 2017).
